Day 107: Minneapolis Friends

Mitchell, SD to Minneapolis, MN

297.05 Miles | 4:32 Riding Time

It’s Friday, July 26, 2024, and it’s Day 107 of my cross country motorcycle trip.

I got started very early today, because I was planning to meet some former work colleagues for lunch in Minneapolis—300 Miles away. It was a pretty straight ride along I-90 into Minnesota, then diagonally up to Minneapolis. It was mostly flat and farmland, occasionally meandering around some small lakes. And, I passed through LeSueur, Minnesota, home of the LeSueur peas in the silver can. I thought these were very fancy when I was a kid.

The highlight of the day was lunch with my former colleague, Krystal. Three other colleagues were intent on joining us, but were unable to make it. It’s really special when you work with folks who are not only good co-workers, but become good friends as well. I do miss working with you all.

Dinner at a local bar near my hotel and early to bed. It’s another long day tomorrow.
