Day 15: Evansville, IN to Cape Girardeau, MO

Today is Thursday, April 25, 2024, and it’s Day 15 of my cross country motorcycle trip.
The highlight of today was lunch with Rebecca and David—Donette’s cousins—who live in St. Louis. I got an early start, so I could meet them at Bailey’s Range for lunch—great burgers. It was so nice to see them, have lunch, and I even got a chance to see their adorable home. Thanks again, you two!
The original plan was to ride down to the Mark Twain Forest, which is south and a little west of St. Louis. But when I got ready to leave, a quick check of the weather showed storms moving in for the afternoon. So, I changed the plan and just took the highway down to Cape Girardeau, MO. So, it was a great day, but an uneventful ride.
In Cape Girardeau, I had dinner at Seis Express, which was right across from the World's Largest Fountain Drink Cup. I mean, that’s a thing, right?
